How do I find a post on LinkedIn that I saw earlier?
How annoying is it when you see a post on LinkedIn that you mean to re-read or go back and comment on later, and you can’t find it?
To avoid this happening, save the post. Then you can go read and comment at your leisure. Click on the 3 dots you’ll see on the top right hand side of the post, and hit Save.
Then to find it later, on desktop, go to your profile, click on Resources then Saved Items. From mobile, go to your profile, then click the 3 dots and choose Saved items.
The trick though, is to remember to go back and do something! If your saved area is anything like mine, there are hundreds of posts you keep meaning to go look at!
To try to find something you didn’t save try this:
If you know who posted it, go to their profile page and scroll down to activity.
You can then click on Posts and see what they have posted.
If you don’t know who posted it, what were some of the key words? Go to the search bar and add them in there, use quote marks for phrases e.g. “job vacancy” + ” Project manager” + ” financial services” then hit return, and then click on the post filter. Change the sort order to latest, and you can then scroll. It’s important to be as specific as possible here otherwise you’ll be scrolling (probably pointlessly) for hours!
