How do I make my LinkedIn profile stand out?

This is a question that I get asked all the time, and is why I have developed a few different sessions to help people in a targeted way.

Whichever session is most appropriate for you, I will listen to what you tell me and use my experience of being a career coach, an analyst and a LinkedIn nerd to show you how to make your LinkedIn profile stand out to the right people. 

I run sessions for individuals of all levels from students through to CEO’s and everyone in between.

1:1 LinkedIn® Coaching for Senior Leaders

A 2 hour session. My most popular session! It was built with busy senior leaders in mind, but can be booked by anyone who is pretty established in their working life.

There is so much to take on board, I recommend splitting this into 2 x 1 hour chunks. But that’s your call. If you prefer to do it in one go, then we can do that.

I’ll have reviewed your profile before we start. When you book your session, I’ll ask you for a little bit of background information. Let me know here what you are doing now, what you are looking to do next (if you know that – it doesn’t matter if you don’t), any work based fantasies you have like setting up a sports coaching business, opening a book store, becoming a full time artist or anything else no matter how random it might seem. This all helps me to be super prepared for your bespoke LinkedIn® session.

The first hour is focused primarily on your LinkedIn® profile and how to maximise its impact. I’ll show you what you need to do to attract the right attention from whoever you want that from whether that is recruiters, possible future employers or potential clients. If you’re a job seeker, we will cover the job search function so you really know how to get the best results from it. 

I’ll send you some written feedback after the first session and you’ll have some changes to make. A week or two later is when I recommend we have session number 2 where we get more strategic. You’ll learn how to run some complex searches, we talk about the algorithm and why that’s something you need to be aware of. We will cover engagement and content creation and why it really doesn’t matter if you don’t want to post anything. You can get results without doing that. I will also talk through the pro’s and con’s of premium and when I think it’s useful for you.

This session is designed for today’s job market, for people who need focused, affordable support.
 
I will review your LinkedIn profile and send you actionable tips on what to change.
 
Then we will have a 30 minute zoom session focused on how you can use LinkedIn to help you find your next role. It will be completely tailored to you, and ideally, you’ll ‘do the driving’ by sharing your screen and I will be talking you through what you need to be doing to find those next opportunities.
 
Upon booking, please send me your most recent CV (or a detailed description of the work you have recently been doing if you don’t have an up to date CV).
 
On the booking form, I will ask you some questions about what you are looking for. Please provide as much information as possible.
 
I need 48 hours notice for the booking. This allows me the time to review your profile and get some notes over to you of things you need to action on your profile. Ideally, you will make these changes before we meet.
 
The booking you make will be for our 30 minute session.

This session covers the secrets of LinkedIn® for smart students. It’s likely your parents, lecturers or teachers have told you that you need an account here. They’re right, you do.

But, having an account and not using it properly is like having a gym membership and never going.

I’ll have reviewed your profile (if you have one) before the session, and will make the session totally bespoke to you.

I run interactive and engaging group sessions for students at schools, colleges and universities. 

The sessions cover LinkedIn® fundamentals and are packed full of job seeking and career development tips to help students to really understand what is important and why.

These can be one off sessions or a block of sessions building through the academic year.

Typically the session ends with time for questions, either in the group situation or for students to ask questions on a 1:1 basis if that’s how they feel most comfortable.
