If you’re worried about people knowing that you looked at their LinkedIn profile, here’s what to do…
You can put your profile into stealth mode when you are looking at other people’s profiles. If you want to look at other peoples profiles without them having any idea you’re doing so, then this article is for you!
The main reason I suggest people do this is when they are job seeking and not yet happy with their profile, and are searching other people’s profiles for ideas on what they could include.
Once you’re happy with your profile put it back to visible mode, and look at those people again so that hopefully they will look back at your nice updated page!
Click on Me, Settings and Privacy, Visibility, Profile Viewing Options.
Then choose between showing your name and headline, private profile characteristics (which gives some info about you – sector and location for example), or anonymous.
Note – if you are on a free account, by putting yourself into private mode, you can’t see anybody who looks at you. If you have LinkedIn Premium, then you can still see people who have looked at you.
